Quantro Power reduction

I need to place a UHF Quantro in service SANS the 225w final.

in essence, make it a 100w repeater using the driver PA.

regardless of the configurations used in RSS, the unit will not key the driver to full output.

anyone know what it takes to make this work?

I know that i can jump the signals from the FPA molex... but i would prefer to "do it right" - i know you can order 100w Quantro configuration from the factory... i just don't know how they setup the station to do that w/o the FPA

(no, the 225w FPA is *NOT* for sale....LOL)

anyone?

I thought a 100 W Quantro was defined as a Quantar!

I don't have manual on a UHF Quantro which is now an Obsolete product and has been replaced with Quantar High Power Booster Amplifier Option. I was referring to a VHF Quantro manual and I think there's an issue with the RF power sensing circuit not being on both PA modules. I don't know if this is your UHF station's issue. Besides the RF Drive from the Quantro Exciter IPA may be too low to drive the FPA itself, it may require 100 Watts to drive the FPA.
