Not a lot of details yet. 700/800 will be first out of the gate. You can bet that Quantar will be around for a while yet until they get all the other bands and options ready to ship.

i heard 24-36 months on VHF/UHF quantar, subject to change due to production constraints on the newbie. 800 quantar will be the first to go.

Good
Anything has to be more reliable than a Quantar. Motorola's worst commerical product that I have seen and unfortunately I have 22 of them to keep running.
The new model had better be priced lower because I have seen the new Tait TB9100 and it looks very much a Quantar killer.

Encryption will be a card in the computer console eliminating the DIU.
