Hello all,
Anyone have any tips on removing(for ant install) the liner total of 4 NMO mounts? just wondering if the ENTIRE thing has to come down or just a corner at at time.reason is.. i'm using a chassis punch other wise i would just snake the wire down one of the post without even messing with removing the liner.
thanks.

Hello,
thanks for the reply...
thats what i was thinking... I have done many ant mounts but this would be the first one where i will remove the entire HL. Normally i'd remove just a corner and then snake the ant line down through one of the posts..Since this is the first time i'm using my new chassis punch i actually need to get the whole liner down. I was looking for anyone who has done a TB before.. bur so far everyone on this board (mostly)has done the models up from the TB..
OH WELL....
Thanks so much for all of the help pics to follow....

If i may make a suggestion. I find when i need to remove a head liner or trim panels on a vehicle that i haven't worked on a trip to the local pep boys or autozone does the trick in getting the info i need. Just tell them your looking to replace the wiring to a dome light or something that is up under the headliner or behind the panel in question, most good stores have full service manuals on display with pictures showing removal steps.

You could also go to a local dealership and see if you can talk nicely to a service department mechanic, i have a couple dealerships that will let me look at their service books at the counter, much more inclusive information than a hayne's manual or something similar.

If nothing else, bite the bullet and get a service manual for the vehicle, its bound to come in handy again during the lifetime of the vehicle if its yours.

removing interior trim for a headliner isn't that bad.

GM vehicles are a combination of plastic retainers into the roof support structure, grab handles, dome lights and side A and B pillar trim. Clothing hooks may also be used for fastener locations.

A few minutes of looking around at everything at you should be ok.

You may need to also remove the seat belt upper retraints as they will often prohibit the B pillar trim from coming off. Most are a large TORX bit.

thanks for all the help once again.... it really was not that bad.... it was just as most of you said.. and yes the seatbelt restraint was a LARGE torx 40+ was the number.. I had to buy a set of them to get that size i needed.the small hand torx would not have had the TORQUE needed to break the bolt freemusthave used locktite... but all 4 ant lines are in and run.. thanks to all..!! When i locate a digi camera i'll share with all of you..
Yes i know.... stores are full of them.... thank you.. Give yourselves a bow...
