Can anyone help me or confirm that it is not possible on this radio.

On the Xts300 when i selected keylock i enabled auto rotary lock which prevented me changing channels with the 16 pos knob.

I want to do the same on the 5000 but i cant find the option anywhere.

Can it be done and if so can you point me in the direction.

I still want to use the rotary in normal times so programming it to blank isnt an option.

I just looked through my Astro 25 CPS, I don't think that feature exist on the xts 5000. You either have to disable the rotary nob, or deal without it. I tried it with the "keypad lock" feature on my 5000 and the rotary nob still works. Sorry man. -Scott

In radio wide switch configuration (or whatever its called) just set the 16 position rotary to unprogrammed.

I think he wants to use the rotary knob, but just wants the option of locking it like his XTS3000 will do.

It doesn't appear to be a feature of the 5000 for whatever reason.
