RPI for EF Johnson 5100 series portable

Post by n9upc »

Looking at programming my EFJ 5100 onto a motorola system and all seemed to be going well except that I was not advised that I needed the cable as well as the Programming Radio Interface.

All I have is the software and the cable from the radio to RPI. So does anyone have any documention or know where to look-up the schematic so I can build one?

I checked radio.the161.net but the found no information, in addition I could not post there as it would not allow me to sign in as it states my user name is inactivate or invaild (ahhhmmmm Alex).

But since I was going to be using it on a Motorola system and I know some other people on here have used EFJ 5100 on a /\/\ digital system I thought they might know.

A 5100 only needs a ribless cable (023-5100-920), no RPI box is needed. Only the mobiles use the RPI & Cable.
