I am looking at trying to keep the simple scanners from hearing our comms. can anyone tell me what is the lest inexpensive way to do this? we have mostly HT1250 with a few HT1000 we use MDC for emergency so the orange button is used.
I had an HT1000 that would do voice inversion which is fine but it used the orange button. no good for me.

any suggestions? and the XTS line is not an option even though it is best solution.

we are on a VHF simplex system this would be for unit to unit comms. I would love to go digital then we would have compatibility with the county but just not an option.

Thanks

The Transcrypt inversion modules will work for you. The app notes (.pdf) shows both HT1000 and HT1250 options. Same with Midian Electronics.

Be careful specifying Transcrypt (or other analogic inversion) boards for any system that is repeated or voted. All sorts of problems.

Go cheap and pick some saber I's with DES and a basic T3011 keyloader.
