Tomar-Like Lightbar

Ok, I was doing a install for a local EMA volunteer, lights and a couple of radios, everything went great, but i'm a little curious about the lightbar, essentually, it looks just like all the tomar's that I have done, but it is all amber LEDs (Gen1) and does not say tomar anywhere on it.

Honestly, it does not look that bad, and the guy said he only paid $400 new, so I guess it was a good deal, but I can't help but worry about the bar, quality of the plastics/wiring/etc... it all seemed solid, but I really don't know much about these bars, no label of any type could be found on the thing...just a generic 'switch-hookup diagram' that was included in the box, with no name on it.

Does any one know anything about these lightbars, are they even safe?

Probably an asian knock-off that shouldn't even be in this country.

Yea, the local uniform store carries these Chinese knock off lightbars and they feel like :o. The one I looked at had no metal, anywhere.... the entire thing was plastic. I think they wanted $195 for it. I'd be scared of it catching fire.

That was my fear, what if the thing catches fire, I opened it, and the wiring looked ok, but still, its a little bit scary in this kind of a sue-happy society, but then again, what the customer wants....

Brookings Industries makes a lightbar that looks straight up like the Tomars. I cannot find their stinkin website though.
