compatability

compatability

this may seem like a newbie question to most out there.... my locality has/uses the xts series from moto in a 800 mhz digital sytem, but my question is, can other digtal radios brands (iom bendex king ect.) with the right freqs be able to log onto this system if they have the right radio id and such. is it a "moto only" sytem?

From the sounds of it, you're speaking of a Motorola digital trunked system. The only other manufacturer that currently offers compatible digital trunking radios is EF Johnson.
