Motorola XTS5000 Cps?

Motorola XTS5000 Cps?

In my XTS5000 CPS verison R05.00.00 under tools there's a Flashport Upgrade option. Is this for upgrading radio features like Astro or MDC1200 and if so, can this be done just using my CPS software and my USB programming cable?.

Also does anyone know were i can get the MDC1200 flash option for the Vhf XTS5000 Model 2?. Thanks.

Yes, you only need the CPS and programming cable. Contact your local Motorola rep to purchase Flashport upgrades.

Can you perform an upgrade with the serial cable or does it have to be USB?

It can be either cable...it goes about 3 times faster with the USB cable, but I found the serial cable to be more stable.
