2004 lincoln LS: thru the firewall?

i got a 2004 lincoln LS, ultimate, V8, auto trans that i'm doing an install on. has anybody worked on one of these or have any ideas how the heck i can get a couple wires through the firewall? i couldn't find any way through there. it's like nothing i've ever seen before. you can't even see the firewall from the engine bay side and the passenger compartment side has about 2" of foam padding everywhere, and i mean everywhere! floor to cowl. please tell me there's a grommet somewhere under all that. i just need to run a pair of wires to the speaker for a 'volunteer type' whelen air-horn install.
thanks

Gotta bust through that foam. On a side note, I can't even imagine how fast one of those cars would take to go up in flames with all that foam, insulation, and etc.

Try the passenger side firewall between the floor tunnel and the kick panel. If it's like most of that body series in the Ford line, there should be a place where a harness passes through at a point just above where the floorpan angle goes from ~45 degrees to the vertical portion of the firewall. It'll be a pain in the buttocks to get around the insulation, but with a little slit in the bellows portion of the grommet, you can pass a wire or two thru toward the right side of the car. It's large enough to handle a reasonable number of wires of decent size.

While you're at it - might as well run some extra wire, just incase any future installs are in the sights. Good Luck w/ that! Remember to share your results

yup, there it was. just like you said. popped off the passenger side kick panel, pulled down the carpet, pulled up the padding and about half way up toward the right was an oval looking gromet with a bunch of wires going through. i managed to squeeze my wires through with the help of a coat-hanger bent into a loop to pull them. that grommet is tighter than a mosquito's @$$!
i didn't get any pics of it torn apart, but i'll try to get some pics of the equipment mounting. everything is a tight fit on that car. you can't fit a pack of cigarettes under the hood. the speaker is mounted in the lower left corner of the facia, just in front of the left wheel well splash shield. it points down at a slight angle and it's about 1/8" away from not fitting at all. the power supply is mounted in the spare well on the rear-most wall. there was a stereo amp behind the trunk panel on one side and a gps receiver on the other side, two speakers and a dvd drive for the gps under the package shelf. i'm suprised that car doesn't weigh 3 tons the way it's packed with stuff.
i didn't buy or choose the equipment. he came to me with a whelen air-horn only unit and a gall's compact speaker about the size of a fed sig ms100 but kinda round instead of square. ...sounded pretty good to me.
thanks again for your help
