Mine does that if I read the radio change the codeplug write the radio. I have to make any changes to the original archive and then write the radio. I think its a common problem for hacked 900 spectras and I think it has been discussed before.

There is a hacked version of Spectra LAB floating around [might be version 5.03 or something close to that] that lets you put in the out of band frequencies but your radio ends up with this PL problem.

If you start with the current regular [not LAB] RSS and 'adjust' the out of band limits as described on the Batlabs site - you should be able to set up ham frequencies in your Spectra without losing your PL.

Thanks man, that was it

Something interesting I noticed though.

I can write the frequencies in with lab 6.xx

the read the radio with reg ver 6, and write back to it.

Then, it works.

coolness.

Yup bug in the RSS software. I've run across it a lot on the 900MHz radios. One version shows it programmed. Go into lab and no TX PL... just ran into it again last night. I finally figured it out with a service monitor that it plain wasn't transmitting the PL despite the fact the software said it was programmed.
