XTS3000 Uhf model 1 to model 2

I believe i read somewere in the search fourms that this is possible but im not for sure. My question is can i convert my XTS3000 Uhf model 1 into a model 2 with a working display, 255 channels and programmable softkeys. If this is possible, what all will i need to buy to convert the radio to an model 2 and what are the procedures involved. Thanks.
