Mixing and matching XTS parts?

Post by jersey_girl »

Next question:

Can I take an RF board from a 3500 and attach it to a 3000 controller? I know I'll have to get it aligned and tuned, but are they compatible?

Anyone? Surely there must be an XTS expert here?

in a word, NO, you cannot.

the xts 3500 can be considered a bridge between the xts 3000 and xts 5000 series radios.

whereas the 3000 uses THREE circuit boards (vocon, controller and RF)

the XTS 3500 only uses TWO circuit boards (vocon and RF)
