Used R2001A

Post by Tech31yrs »

I just recently aquired a R2001A from (EB). The unit appears to be fully functional in all modes. The only real issue I have with it is the CRT and lack of a cooling fan on the rear (adding this myself as I was reading a post here the A's didn't come with a fan, Mine has a connector for a Blower? which looks to be fed from the 110v mains)

The CRT is very readable and bright, however it appears the blanking circuit on the A2? board by the tube is out or has a problem. It shows retrace lines mixed in with the displayed information on the screen. Depending on the operational mode this is more or less pronounced.

It also appears to be lagging a bit in the focus drive as the displayed dot will only come down to about a 1/16" to 3/32" size minimum.

I was wondering if some one here has the Service Manual for this in PDF or paper or the schematics for the HV and the A2? display driver board.

TIA
Mitch

My two bits worth:
I used to repair these.
I could loan you a manual, and copy my alignment procedure.
