Post by fireboy1475 »

Is it possible to scan Analog and Digital TG's at the same time? I am unable on either of my XTS or Saber 800's.

Yes, you need to set up your scan list correctly. You can not however scan conventional and trunking at the same time.

Uhhh... If you have your scanlist type set to Talkgroup, you can mix and match conventional and trunking talkgroups (to a maximum of 10, in the case of an XTS3000). You can NOT however, set the scanlist type to Conventional and put in trunking talkgroups, the software won't allow it.

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

To go one step further...

If its from the same system, you can set it up for any of the trunking/scan types (Pri Monitor/Talkgroup).

If you are trying to monitor a 9600bps (APCO/Astro25) system with an XTS3000, it won't work unless it has the ASTRO25 option (and it will require affiation to work).

If they are from different systems, your only option is the Talkgroup scan. Depending on how your list is setup, you may need to delete the list and start over. Also watch what zone/mode you have selected. This is a common mistake where your scanning the wrong channel altogether.

Also, its possible (unless known not to be) that the talkgroup is encypted.

If things still don't work, they you may want to send your radio to someone who knows who to properly program these radios.

It worked--advice appreciated. Now I need to find someone who's selling an XTS 3K 800 MHZ!
