Are there any differences in features/options between a XTS2500 and a XTS3000?

The 2500 is smaller than the 3000 and the highest capacity battery available is 1800 ma.

As for the feature set, one major item is the 2500 will only do AES encryption as an option. It won't do DES/XL/OFB. The rest is pretty
much the same.

AES or ADP? I thought the 2500 didn't have provisions for any hardware crypto...

When they first introduced the 2500, Motorola said it wouldn't do hardware encryption. They changed their mind.

Look for the special XTS2500RB [rebanding] models to do the other types of encryption as well. [e.g. DES OFB]

I know the mobile XTL2500 will do single key DES/OFB, but the portable?
Where did you hear this?

My mistake, I meant ADP.
