Motorola Astro Spectra - will not RX 471 MHz Frequency

I have a slight problem with my Astro Spectra. I am unable to monitor my local PD (471.025 DPL 025) no matter what I try.

I have the same freq in three different zones, and the ONLY way I can hear them is if I take the radio off PL. Don't have any idea as to why.

I have spent several hours looking at the programming in the RSS, even deleted a few modes to see if there was some type of interference, no dice.

Bank one has no Astro mode. Bank two has one nearby town in Astro mode, the rest of the towns come in fine. (The Astro is 470.8875 in "Astro CSQ" mode) I can hear that town fine. Bank three has no Astro modes, and bank four has several "Astro CSQ" modes.

A friend of mine mentioned something about a Mixed Mode in this radio that is causing this problem.

For now, I tuned that mode to CSQ (RX) just so I can hear them.

Any idea as to what I am doing wrong? I double and triple checked everything in that specific conventional personality.

Code plug available at your request. :)

Look at the programming for the conventional mode where you want to receive DPL. See if the personality is set for AND squelch instead of OR squelch.

Just for the hell of it, try programming to Rx DPL 244 (the invert of 025) and see if it works. If not, forget it. If it works, you'll have to endure my explanation at the next meeting.

It was set for AND/OR.....now set at STANDARD. I tried all three choices with negative results.

I'll give it a shot and let you know what happens.
