HT1550 & HT1250 (message)

Hello guys,
Do we have ability to send(receive) a massege in HT1550(1250)? I can not get an Acknowledge....but why?

You can send an MDC status or message with the HT1550 (can't remember if the HT1250 does it or not off-hand), but you will require some sort of console to decode it. The console could be as simple as a C100/200 with Stat-Alert package, right up to a full blown Centracom Elite. The mobiles & portables themselves will not decode it.
