XTS5000 Question

XTS5000 Question

H18SDH9PW7AN .... Can anyone tell me if this radio can go down 10mhz like some can?

Not sure if you can get down to 440 from this model number. Any ideas?

The VCO seems to get unstable at about 443.000 MHz or so. Also rx tapers off.

Ok... If I wantd to get down to 444..... is it possible to physically do? Any info on how to get down there?

Milage very's with radios. Some will, some will not. If anything you may have to modify the VCO. I have not seen here that anyone has had the guts to modify theirs yet. However, depending on the split, it might. Won't know until you try. If you can trade yours for a Q split radio, you would be golden.

You need to modify the CPS to go out of band. See the tutorial for modifying the Astrp CPS on this site.
