What kind of crimper is your favorite for the AMP terminals used in most strobe assemblies? I have one made by AMP but is a little cumbersome to use and I'd like to try something else. Thanks.

Greenlee also makes a nice ratcheting unit, I will find out more from work on tem, as we use them regularly.

If you could, that would be great. I like the Greenlee stuff. Maybe a model number? Thanks.

Mac Tools also have a nice easy to use and sized pair of crimpers for the amp style termnials.
I have them in my duty bag at the office and will try to get the model number off of them next shift

Here you go...

Sadly they do no where near the same as far as a bulletproof crimp.

The ratchet style are extreamly fast and give great crimps each time.

These are for someone that crimps these style connectors often... not once or twice a year

I use the Packard crimpers for crimping all the wing style connectors onto wire no matter who the manufacturer. I also have a set of the NAPA "OEM style" but they give nowhere near the squeeze power of the Packard ones.
