XTL 5000 Accessory Connector Options --

Post by jsilberberg »

Good Evening,

I have an interesting issue with some XTL-5000 radios. We are taking Audio off of Rx_Filtered Audio on Pin 21 of the 26 Pin P2 accessory conector for a JPS ACU-1000 interface.

After going to the radio shop, where some reprograming was done, and some new antennas run, the vehicle user reports they can no longer get audio into the ACU-1000 switch.

My question is this, does anyone know of a software or hardware jumper/switch setting that would disable audio out on this connector ? Are the features for the accessory connector documented anyway that I can access on the Internet ?

TIA,
JMS..

Nope, The programing cable is out and we have tried with and without the Mic attached.

Looking specifically for a link or reference to a service manual where the options and settings for the features avilable through the Accessory connector might be documented.

Thank you,

See this link below for the only information I could find here on the XTL5000 accessory connector. It only shows the Pin 21 output as programmable to be either flat, or filtered through the CPS. There doesn't appear to be a setting that disables it.
