Is it true that moto updates firmware along with a flash???

Anyone ever send in a radio for a flash upgrade and have their radio come back with a newer version firmware rendering there RSS usless? I am just wondering if this is true, or standard procedure as I don't want to have to update two things for the one thing that I need.
Thank you!

Yes, they will come back with latest Host / DSP also. (Almost 99.9% of the time)

The reason why you need newer RSS/CPS is because they verify the radio using the latest RSS/CPS. Firmware has nothing to do with CPS / RSS read and write versioning.
