This shouldn't be too far OT. I'm trying to find out what the various staff at Central Park Zoo use in terms of equipment and band(s). I saw a picture of one of the security guards wearing what looked like the old MT500-type speaker microphone, but it's got to be something newer. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The exact name of the agency that runs the CP Zoo is the Parks Department, City of New York.

Jerry Seinfeld's cousin, Jeffrey, (son of Uncle Leo) works for them.

If you are talking about the Central Park in New York...I think they use a mix of HT750 and GP300. NYC Parks Dept uses HT1000

Tom, interesting information. Thanks!

dxon2m, yes. I'm talking about the Central Park Zoo in Manhattan. So one could expect to see a mix of GP300 and HT750/1000? Any specifics on which craft of employee use which?

Sorry I don't have the detailed information, even though I live in the city I don't hang around in CP that much. But I do remember seeing a mix of HT750 and GP300 when they had the Gates exhibition earlier this year.

CP is patrolled by NYC Urban Park Rangers (unarmed) and NYPD has a specific precinct for the park CPP (Central Park Precinct). Lots of stuff is happening in the park on the weekends and is really nice to visit, but definetely get your tail out before night falls.
