Does anyone know if there is an adapter available for the programming cable for the XTL5000 or XTL2500 that uses the new control head. The old style cable has the old Spectra style connector and the new heads have a different connector - or is there another new programming cable?

Nope, no adaptor cable available that I know of. Although, you can get an adaptor cable to go from the new Accessory Connector to the old db15 connector. Not sure of the p/n

HKN6183 for the 05/M5 heads 9 pin serial cable, 6184 for the usb, both are ribless.

just an FYI, The USB cable is not supported to program the radio yet..
