Hi Pj,

I have read over that posting a few times. It has a lot of great informaiton, but I
have not been able to find out how to tell the flash memory size.

I got the following information on the radio from the F9 Radio History screen in RSS:

Model: H04KDH9PW7AN
DSP Software Version: I05.00.18
Software Option: H35
Radio Software Version: 03.20.01.00
Radio Codeplug Version: 000C
Codeplug Size: 13657 bytes
Flash: 4400010000007

The reason that I want to know this, is that the guy who sold me the radio said
that it was a 1 Meg version, and I want to make sure that is the case.

Hit the side button 5 times after you turn the radio on and it will go into TEST mode.

If it does not go into TEST mode, then you hit the wrong button.

Once it goes into TEST mode, then it will display a whole bunch of stuff including whether or not it is 512K or 1 MEG.

When I press the side button five times, the radio goes into "SERVICE" mode
and displays the following info:

AP_R03.20.01
DSP I05.00.18
EMC R00.06
KG1 DES-XL
KG2 DVP
H04KDH9PW7AN
465AWS1036

Is there a way to tell the flash size from this info?

The Host is SO old, it will not display the 1meg vs. 512k during test mode.

Based on the age, it is MOST likely a 512. I have seen a few rare cases that it was a 1meg, but usually not.

As a note:
It's VSELP, not IMBE. (The DSP must be greater than 6)
