ProClip USA makes a variety of mounts for all sorts of electronic hardware.

Of particular interest to me were the mounts for clamping onto consoles.

Here is a pic showing a mount from http://www.RadioReference.com

I hope this is of help to folks trying to mount over these OE consoles.

Best Regards,
Julian :)

That remote mount kit is something like $400 itself.

DaBigBR was referring to the seperation kit for the scanner in that picture, not the mount itself.

That mount, by the way, is a RAM mount, not something made by ProClip. I had one of those in my Jeep, and it was OK, but even torqued down as tight as I could get it it still wobbled around. Give me a nice solid metal console any day :)

I know that the mounts themselves are cheap - we used to use them for some cellular installs.

What I'm getting at is that the guy has $400 for the mounting kit, plus $300-$500 for the scanner, depending on when it was purchased, and that's the best install he can come up with? I mean, it looks nice, but not $800 nice.
