Okay, Here is the scenario.
One xts3K UHF Model III radio that does not have IMBE as an option, Falsh Code says IMBE ready.
One xts3K model I VHF that has an IMBE flash code.
Swapped command boards and the the appropriate computer magic also swapped the s records
BUT, and there is always a but
The UHF radio still doesn't want to talk astro. It sends the ID but will not encode/decode any astro signal..
Any help... And of course, this is all hypothetical. Rob
XTS3000 Astro Problem???????

In the XTS3000 the Host firmware resides in the controller board while the DSP firmware resides in the VOCON board.
You need to swap the VOCON's because it is the DSP firmware that enables IMBE capability.
When you read the radio with the RSS, or push side button #3 five times to get the readout of Host & DSP versions, you will immediately be able to see which radio has the analog only DSP.
