What is that pin for on the back below the screw that holds the spkr/mic on?

Its a connection point for the Astro Saber convertacom.

It is the connection for the antenna for a PS speaker mike, or convertacom. Either way it's RF. GARY N4KVE

Are you talking about the gold part? the thing I am refering to is silver and spring loaded! Thanks.

The spring loaded thing....
I believe you will find when this pin is depressed the RF output switches from the antenna fixed on top of the unit to the external antenna output above the accessory pins. Basically it's a switch that is activaed by placing the HH in a AVA/SVA or when you use a public safety mic.
