5105479G05 is the number I can find in the manual for the IF IC.
The G07 number doesn't appear to exist.
Price is about $30.

The one item common to the series...U51, receiver subsystem IC.
Easy to find actually, any Maxtrac or Gm300 will have this chip, just use plenty of vacuum while desoldering though...
This chip 'rarely' dies, but fear not, they are easy to locate, from low band through 900 Mhz, they are in all those ranges.
Or if you find the RF board in your band, swap them out, they are a direct replacement 9 out of 10 times.

A dead receiver most often is caused by the second oscillator xtal failing. Try to make sure the oscillator is running before replacing the IF IC. With most test equipment you can pick up its 44.685 MHz signal by just touching the xtal housing with a probe. We never had to replace an IF IC in the many radios that went though our shops.
Its part number is 4880174D05. The same xtal is used in most portables and other mobiles from that time period.

I second the Xtal. I've replaced exactly one defective Maxtrac IF IC in the last 8 years.
