XTS3K and commander mic volume button trouble

Post by Zap »

I have talkaround enabled on conventional modes and only when I connect my commander mic (rotary, orange, push vol ^/v , sidebuttons . : & PTT) do I have a problem.

On the radio either . or : button selects direct/talkaround.
Same on the hand mic.

Problem:
When I use the remote up/dwn volume on the mic, it raises and lowers the volume but also toggles the TA in and out for each push.
Annoying !!
I have tried swapping TA function between . and : to see if it made any difference. Nope.

Move the direct mode feature to the menu, see if that may make a difference. There is a compatibility issue with older host/dsp with the commander mic, but I would tend to lean toward your flashcode having somthing to do with it. I remember speaker mic issues discussed sometime back with the nick flash.

Hello. I have a Nick XTS 3K with your same host #. Also Nick's flash. My commander mike does everything properly. Also that is not a Nick flashcode. Good luck. GARY N4KVE
