XTS-5k's Trunk ID not sticking

Don't know if anyone else has noticed but here's what I am seeing.

I have XTS-5k's using P25 trunking. There are mulitple systems, but I use the same trunk ID for all. One system is not up and running yet, but I have all of the info on it, and programmed the radios now so that I won't have to go back and hit them again when it comes up.

One quirk is that while the control channels will be different, the Home system ID number is the same. All of the other systems have a unique home sysid.

The problem that I am having is that when I enter in the trunk IDs, the ID for the future system doesn't always change (but it does for the existing system). I used to think that somehow it was me, but since the past couple of CPS versions allow me to "Fill value down", I can't blame my fingers anymore. It appears to change when I "fill value down", but if I close out the window and come back in, the value reverts to what it was before. Sometimes, it seems to stick, but usually not. If I go to the value and change it directly, it seems to work, but I haven't read evey radio to verify. I am using 6.00.00, but I've seen this since version 4.

I have gone deaf listening to mother M's crickets while waiting for a response.

Just a little FYI to anyone else that may find themself in this situation.

Do you have the system keys loaded in to the software for each of the systems your authorized to use [and subsequently tying to change the data on]?

after you type in the radios trunking id, do NOT hit the enter key, just hit "ok" with your mouse

i am using 6.00.00 and have learned never to trust the enter key... lol

discovered this one the hard way.

Yes, I have system keys for all of the systems.

I don't trust <Enter> with most CPS, as I have noticed from previous experience that <Enter> and "X'ing" out of a screen instead of clicking the "Close" button will often result in your last entry not being saved.

This particular problem has been with me since version 4.01 or thereabouts--whatever I had prior to version 5. That was when I first atarted to do a lot of P25 trunk ID's.

I can't say what causes it, and the only help I can give is to advise you to double check that what you think is being programmed is truly what is being programmed. I will say that the second time I change it, it seems to "stick" better.
