I have been trying to make adjustments to the A,B,C switch it the correct programming screen but I can't seem to make the change that I want.

What I have been trying to do is: (A)High Power 5 watts) (B) Low power 1 watt and (C) Scan.

Is this something easy to do. The manual is a little confusing and also how do I tell what the watts of power is set at.

You can't individually designate the A B C positions. You've got to go with the configurations available in the RSS. There's about 15 choices available, pick one.
The power output screen shows relative values, you'll need a wattmeter
with load to determine the actual RF level.

He is correct, you can't personalize that switch, it's RSS driven and uses a preset 'menu' of choices to choose from.

Depending on which version of radio you have will dictate what options you will have available to use as well as what options will work with your selection/s as well.

A/B versions will be very limited with choices, while the C/D versions will allow morre 'personalizing' within the menu.

Signalling appears to NOT work with T/A option, so that is useless, and selecting H/L power also limits what you can have the switch perform as well, since the 'A' position is high power, then 'B & C' are low power(1-watt), which makes me mad because my 'B' version does not allow any real assignments to that switch, and I do not need TWO low power selections on one switch, that's Circle-M's screw up for this.

Later versions may allow changes to power level selection, the 'B' does not.

As you scroll through the RSS menu for the switch, you'll notice how many selections are 'dual-illuminated' and how many are single selections only, but ONLY within THAT selection, you are prohibited from adding a selection of your choice...Grrrr.

Hi and thanks for the help... I think I figured it out. The radio's that I have are HT1000 2004 (D) version.

I went into manual switch settings and hit F4 F3 then F6 and there were choices below, It states hit the enter button until I come to the one I would like (it will be highlighted)and then exit the program, then save new configuration then hit program radio. This will allow the new settings to take affect. (does this sound right) I am not 100% sure thanks

Sounds like you have it all figured out just fine.

Screwy way to operate a 'menu' though.

Too bad there are no options to personalize this, which makes it a B****.

For the price of the RSS, it SHOULD have been a selectable menu.

Isn't that you selling a HT1000 programming manual on EBay ? All of what you asked is right in the manual. This was pretty pointless.

No I feel that it wasn't pointless!! I must not have understood when I read the manual, but I looked further into the manual and I see where it states how to adjust but I just didn’t understand if I was doing it exactly right.... I must be slow..... But thanks for your concern.
