What radios do you own?: What dont I own?

Value$ on HT1000s

Post by abbylind »

Have I missed something or has the value of HT1000s (both UHF and VHF A thru D models) gone up? I remember that a short time ago they were about $175 to $250 each, now I see several posts for $300 + each.

Did something change?

This past year I have purchased 7 HT 1000's. 5 on EBAY & 2 here. I have never paid more than $150 including shipping. Some looked good, some were brand new. A few C's Mostly D's. The trick on EBAY is not to buy the great looking refurbs the radio shops are selling. I buy the ones being sold by people who know nothing about radios. They bought the office equipment from bankrupt companies & 3 radios were in the mix. Sold as is with dead batteries so can't be tested. They have all worked fine. GOOD LUCK. GARY N4KVE

I sold a DN HT1000 16 channel for upwards of 250 on Ebay, radio battery antenna and NTN1171A charger. of course mine was mint, factory unit with tags, not a hackjob parts radio. Lots of junk Jedi's out there.
