first, you'll need to determine how the P10 speaker-mic is wired - the pinouts may or may not match what the Saber is expecting.

then, you'll need to supply the Option Select pin (pin 7 on the saber - not sure which pin in the hirose adapter that would be) with 1.25 volts to allow use of the external speaker and mic.

The "D" just means the unit can be used to load an encryption program into
a System Saber, otherwise the Hirose just furnishes audio in and out for the
speaker mic.

Don't they work on regular sabers too?

I misspoke/miswrote above. I should have said that the "D" stamp on the
Hirose connector means the unit can be used to keyload a DES/DVP Securenet Saber using a keyloader. It might also work on a similar Sys Saber if there is such an animal.

The D works on everything from regular Sabers through Astros.

Yep thought i was missing something there - hirose keyload adapters worked on any saber family product.

Odd thing is I've run into the same problem akardam has - D model hirose with the expo cable won't keyload - sabers don't show keyload when connected.

Yes KVL works, Hirose cable works and yes the radios are the correct module and are enabled.

That's weired. I have one of the KVL cables with the hirose on the end and it works fine with the D adaptor.

Yeah I'm scratching my head on this, unless the hirose adapter is defective.

Anyone remember which is the sense pin that tells the radio what accessory is connected to it?
