HT750 Not Working Help Help Help :)

Post by nikotrader77 »

Hello all i have been read all of your posts for about a year now. But I still messed up. I bought a used HT750 works mint changed ptt and also refurbed it to new condition. I was hearing a hum on one of the repeaters local to me so i went to change the baseband offset to 86hz which worked on my 1550xls. But on the HT750 now i cant read anymore and the radio is a brick. Then i realized the firmware of the 750 was 2.0 something would this cause the crash of the radio??? Also i am willing to learn how to repair this radio. I know the easy way is to change the board but is there a way to reflash it or reset it or revive it!! Any help and suggestions. BY the way it reads in the cps software just not in the tuning and i have tried various versions. Thank You for reading this.

maybe you can try to force another codeplug into it via a method use to convert a 4 channel 750 to a 16 channel 750, but you'll need another 750, and 2 ribless cables, as well as a custom built serial switch, and setup the boot control pin. after you get another codeplug in there you can go from there, or maybe just try setting the boot control pin so the radio doesn't boot and then try writing it. I'm not sure, just a suggestion.
