Spectra Fail 01/82

Post by Max »

I have read the info regarding this fail code. Can someone please help me with this.I got the radio out of the Fail01/90 by following the information on Batlabs, but still having a problem with the Fail01/82 code.I am not sure how to follow the *re-initialize and tune the radio radio part*.I have Lab and its been awhile since i have had this problem.i think i have tried everything, but still getting the same fail code.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You should be able to correct by reading and then writing back to the radio. 01/82 is a checksum error, which is normally automatically fixed.

If that doesn't work, there could be a more serious problem, such as a damaged command board or MLM. Or possibly an incorrect EPROM type byte.

Lab will not correct the error. The Spectra should be read by the regular RSS and without any changes written back to the radio. Usally ANY time you make changes with LAB, you have to read and write back with the RSS NOT LAB.. If this does not clear the error, the EEPRoms may be bad.
