Hello all
I just bought a used VHF Astro Saber 1, which has a flashcode of 000001-002000-5 (flat-out basic; conventional enabled, digital disabled). After reading the applicable pages on the Batlabs site, I am under the impression that I could enable digital operation by replacing the current codeplug with one whose flashcode supports the option.
Trouble is, I've only got half of what I need for any of the given ways to change a flashcode.
I don't have any other appropriate radios from which to grab the codeplug. I had noticed a few places where creating a codeplug from scratch in Lab was mentioned, but I can't figure out how to do that. And I wouldn't know where to begin if I was to hack my existing codeplug.
Can anybody tell me what the best approach would be? I don't really need to whore it out to the nth degree - I just want my Astro Saber to live up to its name.
If it's a major undertaking I can survive just fine without (got it for the price of an analog Saber!), but I would like to be able to talk some Astro with it on the odd occasion that I have the chance to.

kanabecsys - short for Kanabec Systems, of course!
