Possibly a stupid Saber question, but i have been here for nearly a half hour going through every screen in the RSS after reading a Saber II of mine and i can't find any mention of the radios serial number.
The radio came from a good source, not worried about that, but it's missing the label and i was creating a new one with owners name, model, serial, etc. And that's when i realized it's not shown any darn place. Or am i missing it??
I went to the information page, where it shows model, Core version, etc etc... Nope, not there. Went to the save codeplug list and it shows the radios model number and i the H99 number, but no serial. I printed out all the codeplug data, nada there either.
Guess i'm too used to other radios RSS showing the serial number of the radio.

You got lucky, most 'used' Sabers that were recased rarely have serial numbers, or at best, the wrong serial numbers associated with that radio, unless they were govt. models, like from the BLM, which engrave them on the case, but others use that method as well.
All my Sabers have been recased long ago, or swapped cases so the serial number is no longer associated with the 'guts' inside.
And nope, the RSS doesn't display the serial number, I wish it did, that would make it so much easier during programming, incase there are more than 2 radios uncased on the bench and you take the wrong one, a quick read would tell you right away you grabbed the 'other' one.
Enterprize.....One to beam up!
