Hi I have a Motorola MW520, and am trying to install a pcmcia cd/rom driver on it. Is it possible to use a pcmcia flash memory device such as the ones on the following site to do this? http://www.amtron.com/adapter.htm
Any help would be appreciated

Thank You

I used regular pcmcia flashdisks all the time when I had MW520, I dont see why the smaller flash disks wouldn't work with an adapter. I used my pcmcia "Sandisk" flashdisk all the time to transfer fils from my laptop to the mw520.

The motherboard inside also has a slot to put a small flashdisk inside in case you need to expand you storage size. You can't get to it without taking the thing apart though. Kinda dumb. They should have made an access door to it.

Thanks for the reply; I looked up sandisk looks promising. The place on the motherboard for the memory, would that be the empty port in the rear left corner J7? thanks for the help.

Hi,
I picked up a sandisk smartmedia pcmcia reader to download pictures from my older camera while on vacation. Works like a charm in my old laptop running win98se (a pentium 166)- haven't had a chance to try it in the MW520 yet. Can't imagine it won't work. Was recognized as a hard drive. Payed something like $3+ship on surpluscomputers.com.
