XTS3000 Encryption Module

Post by Rayjk110 »

Hello. I was wonding what, if installed, would the encryption board be/look like on the inside of an XTS3000. I am not familiar of the insides of an XTS3000 whatsoever, so I would need to know where on the board I would be able to locate it as well.

Thanks for any help.
Ray.

you need to remove the 4 clips that hold the keypad on, remove the keypad, remove the controller board, flip it over and it plugs into J601

Well, when i open up my XTS3000, there is a silver sheild near the botton of the radio. Again, I am not familiar with the inside of an XTS3000, so, you would need to tell me what/where the vocon is. Under the keypad part (where it would be; this is a Model I) there is a silver sheild, which looks like it could be removed. Looks like how the inside of an HT1000 is, I guess.

Sorry, I thought I read that it was a model 3. Yes, remove the metal shield. It should be held on with 4 clips. Take out the controller board, filp it over and plug it in.
