XTS3000 Public Safety Speaker Mic Question

Post by Fuel4300 »

Here is an easy one for you:

I bought a public safety speaker mic and adapter a couple months ago and when I used it I got absolutely nothing as far as recieve. After taking a closer look at it, it appears that on the mic side of the connection to the adapter, where the plunger is, there is a spot for a center pin but there is no pin there.

I dont have another mic to compare it to, so is this my problem?

I can post pics if this needs more clarification.

Thanks,

Mike

What radios do you own?: APX

There is a pin on my XTS PS mic. It is dead center in the middle of the plunger, with a white area under the pin. So yes, I would say that would be the reason for your no RX problem.

rf adaptor

Yes , post some pics. That will help

I am assuming you do have the RF adaptor in place and secured to the top of the radio?
