Here's one for ya guys. I was up at a local swap-meet and picked up myself a VHF CDM1250.

The model number is:

AAM25KKD9AA2AAQS

Yes, you read it right there is a QS at the end. What does the QS Mean? And also, what does the rest of the model number mean?

Thanks for any help.

Well, it powers up and appears to TX/RX just fine on the channels it came with. Other than that, I have no Idea on the QS. 103Txxxxx s/n. At the price the guy was asking for it ($100) it considered it a good deal. It appears to work just fine, althou I do not have the CDM cable for this mobile, so as of current I cannot read it.

QS stands for Quick Ship. I don't remember any details about the Quick Ship program, it was a few years ago. It was a way to get the radios out of the warehouse quicker.

Thanks for the information. Now, if I needed to clone this to a different radio, read the radio, or dump in a codeplug, would I infact need another 'QS' radio? Also, does the QS affect anything in the codeplug or the radio's capabilities?

QS was just for ordering and shipping. It is the same radio as a non QS model.
