Does anyone know what the model numer is for the snap in bracket that holds a P110/P1225/GP300 Charger. This bracket was made to make the charger mobile, etc. I have two now and need a third. Mine aren't currently available to me to get the model numbers from but I want to order a third bracket for a third radio.

I'll buy one if it's in good shape and the price is reasonable. Otherwise, I'll get one off of Motorola Online. Without a model number, I have a hard time finding things on that site, though.

Also, does anyone know if there is an antenna adapter made for the MT1000. I have one with a battery eliminator that I want to utilize mostly as an RX unit but the stock ducky antenna won't cut it. I want to be able to go from the adapter on the radio to a BNC, external antenna on the vehicle.

I've never seen anything but the Convertacoms and I don't need all of that, just an antenna adapter, if possible.

I know the auction states that it is for a SP50 or P1225, but I believe the MT100 utilizes the same type of antenna jack.

No, that won't work.

If you're going to run any length of cable from the radio to antenna, it'll be ok, but the MT1000 doesn't have a grounding ring around the outside of the antenna jack like the Spirit line, GP68, etc. and apparently the SP50 does.

The antenna adaptor for the MT1000 is a device that clamps to the top of the radio where a speaker mic also goes.

The part number your looking for for that braket is : HLN9719A

Its a little steep for some metal and wire. I have one here, without the cigar plug.

Does anyone know the part number to the MT1000 adapter described that allows an external antenna application?

Does anyone have one that they wish to sell if these are no longer available from MOL?

As for the RF Adaptor, the part that clamps down to the radio is : NTN5368A That terminates to a 3.5 mm audio type plug.

The cable that goes with that is NKN6408A, that is the adaptor from 3.5mm mono to SO-239

Look in the MT1000 section on MOL, under "Service and repair"

But, the MT1000 info i can. There is an external antenna adapter, it goes on the accessory connector and has a 3.5mm mono jack, like and earphone jack, and then there is a length of coax with the mating 3.5mm plug on one end and a SO-239 on the other, ready to connect a PL-259 to it.

The RF adapter is NTN5368A $22.75

The RF cable kit is NKN6408A $21.00

A little spendy in my opinion. If nothing else, you can build one. Or just buy the RF adapter and make your own rf cable with a BNC female on one end and a 3.5mm mono on the other.

If I buy the RF Adapter and the adapter cable to go to a SO-239 (Which is what this was on MOL), do I have any audio when it's all said and done?

Is the audio just through the radio's internal speaker or is there a way to still have a jack to plug in for external audio?

With the Moto rf adapter the internal speaker and mic will still be in use.

If you want an external speaker and antenna connected at the same time you can either get a convertacom, or you can get a public safety speaker mic and hack it up to get both at once.

I did see an adapter once where it had an audio jack on top and an rf jack by the attachment screw, but i don't think it was Motorola, it was a custom hack job.

It's not that hard to do, you just have to ground the select line for each item that you want to route to external and then provide a connection for each.

I have a few NIB, audio adaptors for MT1000, HT600. P200 radios. They can be rewired for RF adaptors, having all the locations positions in the base plate. Just move a couple of the pins.

They also make programming cables also.

That's what i use, NTN4812B, i find them on ebay now and then for cheap. Easy to re-arrange the pins since they have the base plate with all positions drilled for contacts. Though, they only contain three contacts, which would be just enough to make an RF adapter, sense, ground, and rf output. If you want to build an all in one adapter get one of the audio adapters and scrounge up a beat up speaker mic on the cheap and rob it of some contacts.
