HT1250 Full Keypad ribbon cables... standard or no?

Post by Jammer »

Does a standard limited keypad HT1250 come with the necessary ribbon cable to attach to a refurb kit with full keypad? It doesn't appear that the refurb kit contains ribbon cables.

Or do I have to order new ribbon cables to get the radio to full keypad?

The limited keypad contains the full kepad board, along with the appropriate cables.

Just change the case, change the keypad type in CPS, and you are good to go.

Well the difference being the 'regular' HT750 doesn't have the keypad board already installed like the HT1250 does. So, on top of getting the HT750 full keypad refurb kit, you'd also need the HT750 keypad board & flex ribbon. Other than that, I'm not sure if it's just a box to check in the CPS, or if the full keypad HT750 shows up as a different model in the CPS entirely.
