Have a W5 Radio, will a W9 head work with this radio ?

if it's a remote mount radio, yes, it will power up and provide what i'll call "limited functionality"


i would be hesitant to blast the radio with a new codeplug with the HCN1078 control head hooked up to it though


i'd do this only to test the radio or read the codeplug -- that's it.
