I accidentally broke a board on my personality board. The board I broke was HY301. I need to know if there is anyway I could buy a new one and solder it in. If not I will need to buy another personality board HLN4925D.

Any information would be appreciated.

More information?

Some people here will probably know exactly what your talking about - however, without at least mentioning the model of radio your working with there's no real way for a lot of us to know what your working on.

IN the future - make sure you post some basic information about the radio, and what the problem is directly with it. You'll get more help along with having people understand more about the issue @ hand.

Thanks!

Sorry about that, I was so upset with myself I forgot to include that important piece of information. I have a Syntor X9000 VHF Model #T73KXJ7J04BK And the board I accidentally broke was the board on the Personality board #HLN4925D It was right next to the add on board shield. Not sure of the part number but according to the schematic it is HY301

You broke that small vertical Hybrid board? Ouch.. Find another personality board or another radio. I had one that had that board broke, not sure how the previous owner ever managed that, unless it was deliberate to disable the radio.

No way to get one other than scrounging it from another radio. And even then it's easier to just swap the personality board and re-align the radio.

??? Your service manual should have a listing of the part numbers for all the hybrids.

Failing that, look carefully on the hybrid itself. It should have a part number (or part of one) stamped on it. Chances are good it'll be an 01-something.

If you can't find a number, let me know and I'll dig into my own service manual.

Happy hunting.
