Honeywell batteries for M products

Honeywell is pushing their NiCD and NiMH battery lines for Motorola(and other) portables, even offering a two battery freebie so you can evaluate them. Has anyone here had any experience with the fit of the Honeywells? I don't doubt, from their advertising, that they're using only the best quality, well-matched cells in their packs. That only leaves fit and the hardness/softness of the pack's housing plastic in question. Anyone?

This link should answer your questions.
I tested two and they didn't perform.
I also saw a great presentation at the Motorola Trunked Users Group
meeting in Denver last year.
I'm sticking with Motorola.

They are absolute f*cking junk, they should stick to branding thermostats with that name.

I bought 35 of them, wish I had not! Everyone of them has been replaced. They do not hold a charge, and I can't believe their rated capacity.

Honeywell should use them as rectal thermometers for the sales team pushing them.

I've seen (broken open) them all, stay with Motorola Branded from moto only.

Impress rules if your radio can use them.

the only aftermarket batteries i'll use are Multipliers. the 2700mAh batteries on my ht1250 lasts 3 days on a full charge.

I use Battery Zone brand batteries on my Saber's, the last days on receive and light transmit duty. If i get chatty they still last an entire day. So for the cost i can't complain.

However... If your life is depending on that battery, PS use especially, i would probably be a lot more worried about the batteries, in my case some aftermarket ones are fine.

Something else bought up in the MTUG meeting was that Motorola batteries are designed for the radio. In particular the batteries that attach to the back, XTS and MTS as well as Pro etc, a bad design can desense the radio. Motorola's design has all the electrical paths to cause the least possible desense. I can see how the wiring might act as antennas and cause some problems. That is wht the release of some batteries take so long. A lot goes in the design.
An example is why has the XTS2500/2250 impress version so slow to come out. The package is already in existence and and the impress technology exists however the RF implications take a lot of design work.

Food for thought
