How do you change the accessory mic connector on a CP200? My Pace tips are too short and too large for the job.

I use a Chipmaster, but if you're not so equipped, a low-velocity heat gun will also work.
Chances are, if it's an early-version board, you might lose a contact pad as well.

Is it OK to file the tip of a Pace tip? Is it OK to extend a Pace tip and not fully seat it in the handle? Is it OK to bend a Pace tip?

Put away your Pace tips, don't go near a CP200 with it unless you want to replace the freq. or volume control.
Low velocity hot air will float the jack off the board.

We use Weller soldering irons with the extended length flat tip...works fine for us.
