spectra fail 001

this radio came in and was in the wrong bandsplit and read on http://www.kc2kit.com/spectra/ where you could change the bandsplit of your spectra to get it to work in your bandsplit well fallowed the directions and now get fail 001 and wont transmit everything else works but the transmit what do i do now origional bandsplit was like 403-433 i need it to do 450 460 split for public safety does the radio need aligned or what do i need to do if anyone can help it would be greatly apriciated thanks yall

there is alot more that needs to be done to this radio than bitbanging the band split. Here is a link about someone trying to move a 403-433Mhz radio to do 460Mhz.

If you are changing the bandsplit of the radio you must also make the correct hardware changes as well. Software alone won't do it.

can u tell me the hardware that needs to be chabged or is it just the fact of shortening the strip in the vco

You would need to change out the PA, VCO and front end receiver to the correct parts for the range your looking to get and then bit bang the mlm to match it.

I can change the PA so it will cover the 440 to 468 range. It does require some parts and a few tweeks. Then I sweep test them for range and stability.

I have modified/ tuned VCOs to cover the 440 to 468, but needs some test equipment to test it.

The RF board is the same for all three ranges in UHF.

The receiver frontend board that contains the injection filter, RF preselector and mixer does need to be changed. They can not be retuned.
