Hello We are getting 40 new Minitor V pager and my Chief was told we can do this.
Channel A Silent Scan Tone & Vibrate Page, Audio opens after Alert
1. Group page for all members One tone
2. Officers Page, Different sound Tone (6 pagers)
a. Using Fire Chief Tones
3. Frequencies
a. 155.220 Priority Page, Group Tones
b. 155.220 Officer’s Page (Different Tones)
c. 154.415 Group Page, Group Tones
Channel B Monitor &
Page Same as above but with open Monitor, for monitoring
Channel C Silent Scan Vibrate Page
Channel D Monitor Page 154.415, with Group Tones (or 155.220 with Group Tones and monitor)
and
154.070 Monitor Frequency
I got the software and all the other stuff to program them. The software does not have .dat file so i can not check. I don't think we can have more than Two freq. , so i don't think we can do what he what's od the D parts or it.
Any ideas.
Thanks Tim

It would be nice if you hadn't written in red.... on a black background, that's rather hard to read. I can't even begin to start making sense of what you've written.
The Minitor V supports either 1 or 2 channels, depending on the model ordered.

Hello
Not sure what the problem is. On my computer the backgound is grey and it shows up fine. Maybe you should reset your settings before slamming someone. Anyway maybe someone else can anwer it.
Thanks

Hello All
That was what i thought. But the dealer told my Chief something and he has gotten it mixed up. You know the Chief is always right.
But two freq. is all i could find in the software. Thanks

It appears that you are using 3 different frequiencies and 3 different tone sets. Possibly 4 if your group page on a separate channel is a different tone set.
first thing is that the M5 is availalbe in a single channel or dual channel only. There is no option for a third channel. It appears your main dispatch channel is 154.220, your second dispatch channel is 154.415 and your monitor channel 154.070.
The M5 will not support this.
As for the number of tone sets you've listed it should be able to handle that many but not on a different channel.
Best possibility would be to have all your tones sent out on the main dispatch channel and code all your tones to that channel - yes it will take cordiantion with those who control your dispatch.
Other options are to get two pagers for each person, get a portable radio that can do basic page functionality or just carry a scanner.
Good luck

A few things...
First, don't confuse "channel" and "mode". The A-B-C-D knob is the mode selector. It has nothing to do with channels. Mode A, Mode B, etc. A channel is another radio frequency and is independent of the mode knob.
You can have TWO channels. On each mode, you can have it be channel 1, or channel 2, or scan. You can have it be monitor or alert in any of those channel configurations.
You have a multitude of tone options. I haven't played around with a two channel pager so I won't try to explain how it works. I *think* you have another set of tones for the other channel but don't hold me to it.

yes, each channel can be set with tone options. Your still limited to 2 channels though.

Is there a pager similar to Minitors that CAN do 3 frequencies?
